RLPS has been planning and designing senior living and care center projects for more than 62 years. Completed work includes approximately 110 retirement communities and 1,450 seniors' housing and care center projects. We have made senior living our life’s work and remain passionate about providing cost-effective, thoughtful environments that "quietly" support the programs and mission of the organizations we serve
For more than 62 years, the passion, creativity and commitment of our professional staff to truly listen to our clients has resulted in innovative design solutions that meet budget and schedule requirements. We have completed more than 250 educational projects, all with the same goal in mind—to provide economical and environmentally-friendly buildings that stimulate learning, inspire faculty and serve the community. The RLPS team has a successful history of first listening and then planning, designing and managing a wide range of campus projects for both new construction and projects to breathe new life into existing buildings.
RLPS firmly believes that the trappings of a high-tech, sterile institutional environment are inappropriate, unnecessary and counterproductive to creating an environment that celebrates life to the very last breath. Our team focuses on achieving a compassionate environment within the context of high quality palliative care, stringent code requirements and responsible stewardship, whether designing a new inpatient hospice facility or envisioning renovations to existing facilities such as a hospital wing.
For more than 25 years, the RLPS interior design team has worked closely with clients to create distinctive environments that meet each organization’s unique vision and design objectives. Our designers' understanding of the role interior design takes in enlivening spaces and creating a consistent, appropriate image enables RLPS to provide unique, user-friendly and appealing environments.
RLPS works with every client to integrate cost-efficient, sustainable design strategies into every project whether pursuing formal certification or simply maximizing stewardship opportunities. Melding these principles with building design and construction practices not only reflects responsible stewardship, but also responds to growing market demand for operationally-efficient and environmentally-friendly buildings.
RLPS has consciously elected to maintain a varied design practice. We have the depth of resources and experience to offer a full spectrum of services, supporting projects from the initial planning stages through design and construction to post occupancy review. Our collaborative design approach results in appealing and unique environments that meet the needs of the people they serve and enrich the quality of their lives and their community.
