Sandy’s Garden
Sandy’s Garden was created in memory of former RLPS partner, Sandra M. Reese. Designed to be enjoyed both indoors and out, the garden reflects her beauty, intelligence and compassion.
The design concept was to interpret the environments Sandy loved through the abstract use of landscape elements. The quilted pattern of perennial plant beds represents the fields of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The grouped stone boulders create a silhouette of the mountainous ranges of Wyoming. Nature is emphasized by the sight of bubbling water and its life sustaining properties.
The official dedication of the garden was held in October 2017, with Jim Reese, Sandy’s husband, and Chris Rummler, ASLA, who designed the garden, in attendance.
