Environments for Aging Remodel/Renovation Competition Finalists

Two RLPS Interiors projects were selected as finalists for the 7th annual Remodel / Renovation competition sponsored by Environments for Aging.  A panel of industry professionals from SAGE (The Society for the Advancement of Gerontological Environments) reviewed 63 submissions and narrowed them down to the top 10 finalists. The finalists were then part of an on-line voting process allowing readers to choose their favorite.  The top 10 projects, including the Best in Category as chosen by readers, will be showcased in the Fall 2015 issue of Environments for Aging, hosted online, and distributed at the Healthcare Design Expo & Conference this November, and the April 2016 Environments for Aging Conference.

The finalist projects for RLPS Interiors were Falcons Landings in Potomac Falls, Virginia and Wesley Enhanced Main Line in Media, Pennsylvania.  At Falcons Landing, the newly appointed Compass Club is a contemporary lounge that incorporates aesthetic updates with functional improvements to create a better utilized space.  At Wesley Enhanced Main Line, interior renovations focused not only on updating living room niches in this central corridor space, but also animating the various nooks to provide each with its own identity and unique “personality.”  RLPS Interiors also provided interior design services for The Harvest Table café renovation, another finalist project that was submitted by RLPS Architects.
