The existing medical model neighborhoods were renovated to create inviting, person-centered living spaces for nursing residents. This transformation was accomplished through carefully phased, incremental renovations, allowing the provider to maintain occupancy throughout. The nursing stations were transformed into smaller hospitality care bases with the majority of staff spaces relocated behind the scenes. Serving kitchens and renovated dining rooms were added to enable staff members to accommodate resident preferences.
On the second floor, Independent Living spaces were updated with new finishes and a formerly underutilized common room is now a popular neighborhood great room with multiple gathering areas such as a fireplace conversation zone, large screen TV, billiards, game space, business center, and coffee counter.
