The New Intermediate School includes a two-story classroom area with the majority of the building being one-story on the main level. The building is designed under current adopted IBC International Codes for Pennsylvania and Fairview Township.

The new building will be approximately 105,000 square feet.

Work includes, but is not limited to: reinforced concrete foundations, concrete slabs on grade, metal roof deck supported by steel bar joists and beams supported by CMU load –bearing walls and in select areas a structural steel frame with a EPDM adhered roofing system placed over tapered insulation as well as continuous sloped roof structure.  The exterior walls are clad in brick veneer and metal panel vertical and horizontal siding, exterior openings, window glazing, and aluminum storefront systems.  Interior partitions are a mixture of CMU, load-bearing CMU, and metal stud partitions with impact resistant gypsum board with finishes including ceramic tile in specified locations.  Interior doors are primarily solid core wood doors or hollow metal doors in hollow metal frames with some areas having interior aluminum storefront doors and frames.   Finish flooring materials include Terrazzo, Carpet, VCT, Ceramic tile and LVT.

The project includes site utility connections as well as all mechanical, plumbing, electrical, technology and access control systems.  The entire building will be divided by 2 two-hour fire walls and will receive a complete fire suppression system.  Food service equipment, gymnasium accessories, and playground areas are included within the project.
