Lower Dauphin School District: Additions and Renovations to Falcon Fields
The additions and renovations to Falcon Fields for the Lower Dauphin School District includes expansion of the existing Falcon Field complex located on the Lower Dauphin Middle School Campus. The project will be bid with five primes (General, Site, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing construction). The scope of the project includes but is not limited to reconfiguration of the existing campus driveways and parking areas and expansion of the existing on-site parking to accommodate increased stadium capacity. The site work also entails several areas of sub-grade storm water retention as well as site utilities. The existing home grandstand and press box will remain and be expanded from approximately 750 seats to 2,000 seats and a 1,000 seat visitor grandstand will be added to the site. There will also be two new field house buildings constructed behind the enlarged home grandstand totaling approximately 7,200 square feet. These new buildings will include toilets, concessions, locker rooms, and storage areas. There will be new concrete paved plaza and walkway areas as well as new site fencing around the new grandstands and field houses. While there are alternates related to field lighting and providing a new score board, there is no work associated with the existing artificial turf fields.
