Construction of a new 24-unit Memory Care household and a licensed Adult Day program fills a gap in community services. The only one of its kind in the area, the new Adult Day program provides a lower-cost alternative to institutional care and allows couples and children caring for parents in their home a necessary respite from caregiving. The memory care design pairs two 12-bed households with a mix of large open, as well as smaller scale living spaces for residents. Much like a traditional home, the private resident rooms are in a separate area rather than being accessed directly from the more public common areas.
