Brett Hallacher, AIA, LEED AP
At an early age, the subjects of art and science, along with exposure to home renovations, captured Brett’s imagination. These interests naturally led him to pursue a degree in architecture. His matriculation in Detroit, MI, provided a stark juxtaposition to his native Lancaster County, PA, expanding his views of architecture and the world around him. A semester abroad in Volterra, Italy, further deepened his understanding of architecture and the role the profession plays in shaping the course of humanity. Academia provided Brett with a solid theoretical foundation, equipping him with the necessary tools to continue his practical education as an intern.
His internship, guided by the IDP, allowed Brett to expand his skill set and knowledge base while steadily increasing his responsibilities, ultimately maturing into his position as a Project Architect. Brett then had the opportunity to further develop his career as a Construction Administrator, a role that introduced a new level of interaction with clients and contractors. This experience proved invaluable to his growth as an architect, as time spent in the field provided critical insights into design and document preparation. Now, as a Senior Project Architect, Brett collaborates with clients, colleagues, consultants, and contractors to bring visions to life.
Beyond his professional career, Brett has been actively involved in local governmental organizations, recently serving as President of the AIA Central PA Board.
Outside of architecture, Brett finds inspiration in literature, film, and quality time with those he cherishes—namely, his wife and daughters, who serve as his guiding star, continually challenging and inspiring him to be a better person every day.
