The Oaks at Cypress Cove

Cypress Cove wished to expand its senior living housing options, but its existing Life Plan Community campus lacked the necessary land for expansion. A nearby 12-acre site turned out to be the solution as the future home of The Oaks at Cypress Cove – an elevated active adult satellite campus option.

The Oaks at Cypress Cove includes 24 two- to three-bedroom villas, a 5-story hybrid home with under-building parking that accommodates 24 residences, and a clubhouse, all surrounding a central lake within sight of the existing campus and connected by a greenway.

At 7,500 square feet, the clubhouse serves as the heart of the community.

Drawing inspiration from Old Florida, its design features whitewashed wood, locally sourced artwork, botanical wallpaper, and a striking wicker-inspired chandelier in the double-height lobby.

Amenities for this active adult satellite campus include a state-of-the-art fitness center with panoramic views of the campus, a locker room featuring individual shower suites, and an outdoor heated pool and hot tub, all framed by lush landscaping and a dramatic fire feature. While residents have access to dining on the existing campus, they can also enjoy Sage and Salt, located right in their campus clubhouse.

The hybrid home reinterprets the character of the original campus

most notably through the use of yellow stucco, but with a more modern lens, including storefront windows and a mix of peaked and flat roofs. The blocks of color coordinate with other structures on the Oaks and existing campuses, helping to visually break up the size of the tower.

It includes 24 two-bedroom plus den residences. Under-building parking is complemented by adjacent golf-cart parking.

Each floor has shared spaces like a library, game room, or media lounge to foster community and social interaction.

The balconies featuring seamless screens, so the view is not obstructed.

The second and third-floor common areas are connected by a dramatic two-story window wall that frames a sculptural light fixture.
