Two parallel hybrid home apartment buildings with a connected pavilion between them form The Crescent, a micro-community for active seniors that provides middle market rental housing.

Wallick Communities wanted to add an independent living component to the Oakleaf Village campus in Toledo. Carefully positioned on the 1.46 acre site, the new hybrid-style apartments feature senior-friendly open floor plans with abundant outdoor views while maintaining affordability for older adults in this Midwestern moderate income area.  Private garage parking and carport options are available for a separate fee which helps keep the base costs down.

Pavilion Amenities

The Pavilion can be accessed from inside both hybrid buildings and from outside through a landscaped courtyard.

The main lobby, dining and living room are co-located in this area. Both the dining and living spaces open to a patio, encouraging events to flow through both areas.

The modestly sized 1,445 square foot dining venue includes a bar.

Community-Within-a-Community

Previously, the campus offered memory care, assisted living and licensed residential living.

To appeal to more active consumers, each upper floor of the hybrid apartment buildings incorporates a different activity area for socialization, learning and physical wellness. This includes a golf simulator, arts and crafts room, beauty salon, staff lounge, and fitness centers in both buildings.
