James Mehaffey, AIA, NCARB
Jim serves as our in-house code coordinator and quality control manager, drawing on his project experience, to provide code analysis for projects throughout the design process and as part of construction document review. Jim also conducts post-occupancy code reviews and recommendations for our clients. He is an NCARB Registered Architect and a member of the American Institute of Architects.
Jim currently serves as chairperson of the AIA PA Building Codes Subcommittee, providing educational content to members, as well as working with State Legislators on amendments to the Construction Code language. He is a board member for LanCode, the Lancaster County Code Association, and serves on the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) workgroup currently defining the technical provisions of the code. Jim has also served on the Board of Directors for the Lancaster Museum of Art and has volunteered for the local MS Walk since 2008. He previously authored a blog, Lessons Learned from the Yeoman Architect and continues to share building-codes focused insights via social media and conference educational sessions.
