Starting a Club Master Plan
At RLPS, Master planning is a strategic and collaborative process, and Radley Run Country Club’s first step int their master plan was holding a charrette.
The University of Oregon shares that a design charrette “is a short, collaborative meeting during which a member or client can share their work with members of their team. They can talk through, collaborate, and sketch designs to explore and share a broad diversity of design ideas.”
The design team, consultants and Radley Run Country Club representatives conducted high-energy, interactive reviews and concept advancements to quickly build consensus on a future direction for Radley Run Country Club. The objective of the charrette was to ensure that all participants developed a clear understanding of high-level options for the club which could be further refined throughout the design process. An RLPS charrette also includes an interior design trends presentation that accompanies the master planning of interior spaces.
