Following the charrette, the design team and consultants further refined solutions to flood plain challenges, public road right-of-ways, steep slopes and open space restrictions. The site constraints at Radley Run Country Club created a disjointed feeling across campus, so the leadership sought a design solution that would promote a cohesive campus language.

With a plan in place for addressing site challenges, the team was ready to establish a cohesive design aesthetic across campus. The exterior architecture, interior color palettes and furniture, fixtures, and equipment choices celebrated the historic nature of Radley Run Country Club by elevating historic features to celebrated design features in refreshed spaces. The addition of new amenities on campus reflected club leadership’s and current membership’s vision of establishing Radley Run Country Club as a contender in the family-focused and wellness-focused private club market.

– The expansion of the paddle hut and addition of new racquets courts positioned Radley Run Country Club to compete with peer clubs as racquet sports continue to grow in popularity.

– Upgrades to the patio and pool deck included more lounge and dining seating and social spots, such as a fire pit and fun kid areas.

– Interior sports and wellness spaces, such as golf simulators and a fitness center, paved the way for Radley Run Country Club to offer year-round amenities to members.

– The design of the Sports Lounge & Bistro elevated historic stone arches in the Clubhouse to a unique design feature.

These updates strategically oriented Radley Run Country Club to capture the attention of new members while addressing the desires of current membership. RLPS facilitated similar amenity focused designs for Lancaster Country Club ahead of the club hosting the U.S. Women’s Open in 2024.
