Stadium Replacement and Site Improvements
After completing an overall Secondary Campus Master Plan, the Dallastown Area School District planned for extensive renovations across campus. Among the first enhancements tackled were site improvements and a full stadium replacement at the existing football field.
A new home-side grandstand and press box was constructed on the site of the existing stadium grandstand.
The new construction features an enlarged entrance plaza along with a masonry load-bearing fieldhouse beneath the grandstand and press box. The plaza features a cast-in-place concrete retaining wall, segmental block retaining wall and a ticket booth.
Associated site work and renovations to the existing home-side storage building provided additional bathrooms, a trainer room and team room.
On the visitor side, a new wood-framed pole building provides additional storage space for the school’s sports teams. Sidewalk upgrades and other associated site features were also completed.
Site improvements not directly associated with the new stadium were also part of the project. These improvements included realigning and expanding the school’s entrance driveway on Blymire Road, providing a new access drive and expanding the parking lot at the Southwest corner of the campus.
