RLPS is currently seeking qualified individuals for the following position opening: 

 

CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATOR – LANCASTER

Core Responsibilities

  • Administer the Owner and Contractor agreements, coordinate with all project team members, and confirm the project is per said contract documents.
  • Issue Architect Supplemental Instructions (ASI’s), certify pay applications, and prepare change order proposals.
  • Coordinate reviews of Requests for Information (RFI’s) and shop drawings with RLPS design staff and our consultants.
  • Travel to project sites and lead meetings with the Owner, Architect and Contractor to ensure progress and the quality of the construction project while representing RLPS.
  • Conduct substantial completion of punch list inspections.

What You’ll Need

  • Have 5 or more years of experience as an Architect, Architectural Project Manager, Construction Administrator, Construction Project Manager, or Assistant Project Manager
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or Engineering from an accredited college or requisite experience.
  • Familiarity with AIA documents in accordance with the Owner and Architectural agreements plus project general conditions.
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam, Procore, Autodesk Construction cloud and similar database management systems.  REVIT experience is preferred but not required.

Internship Positions

14 of our current employees, including 5 partners, started out as interns at RLPS

The RLPS internship program is for currently enrolled, full-time students who have completed a minimum of three years in an accredited applicable program.  We strive to provide diverse opportunities and real-world experiences to supplement classroom and studio learning opportunities.

Architectural interns have the ability to track time towards Architectural Experience Program (AXP) hours while working under a licensed professional. Student interns also have opportunities to participate in individual and group design challenges, assist with marketing/graphics development and provide a presentation to our staff regarding their experiences.

RLPS is an EPiC Firm!

AIA PA EPiC Firm Designation Every year AIA Pennsylvania asks Emerging Professionals around Pennsylvania to nominate their firm for the EPiC Firm Award. “Emerging Professionals” are architecture students, Associate AIA members and Architects licensed for 10 years or less.

The award signifies that RLPS is engaging and fostering Emerging Professionals.  The EPiC Firm designation identifies firms that that have demonstrated a commitment to: 1) Make an impact on the next generation as well as lead change to strengthen the profession; 2) Create leadership and career development opportunities for young professionals; and 3) Welcome new professionals, alternative career path professionals, and anyone with an architecture background or interest in the profession.
